1:st of June 2020 International Innovators LLC aquired SweInnvest AB, located in Sweden to make a strategic step into the European innovative market. The aquiring of SweInnvest AB is according to the business plan to grow on local markets by aquiring strong partners with experience, knowhow and innovation projects into the International Innovators development portfolio.

SweInnvest AB also brings the IP-rights of multiple inkubations and their innovation management system, that will be implemented into the International Innovators portfolio to develop more innovations faster.

Knowledge can never create innovation!

Innovation always goes beyond the known knowledge areas, to be able to be called innovation!

We notice recurring how politicians, officials and other so-called experts  claim to know how, where and when ideas and the basis for innovation arises and how they need to develop. We see how these “nailed” perceptions, sometimes form the basis of wrong decisions, announcements, bureaucratic application procedures, terms and conditions for support, training and courses in how to generate innovation, etc.

This action is primarly based on the human desire to portray him-/herself as proficient in an area, but also by people who stops to think for themelf and instead collect and lean against the knowledge of example known academia and research. When you walk confidently on safe ground and always can refer to what others say or what study / research demonstrated thereof, you will avoid the risk of being seen as a failure, which is very much a cause of reluctance to change and new ideas are thereby retarded!

But actually already known knowledge is impossibly to be innovation, because innovation is something new, which always goes beyond the already known knowledge  areas, to even be called innovation!

The real innovations occur at any time and in any environment and by anyone.

New ideas must always be allowed to challenge, test, fail and only then, develop the already known knowledge to become knowledge ie when being accepted by the market becomes an innovation.

Therefore prior claim to know how innovations occur is impossible, and herein lies the single largest cause of innovation being inhibited when it is the known knowledge that controls, manages and decides on the development and efforts to create more innovations.We know that a favorable environment for innovation should be positive, but sometimes also the development of ideas need to meet difficulties and resistance.

One does not exclude the other, and it´s never is known ahead to say when it should be easy, or when it should be difficult.

Predetermination of what each person with an idea need goes the same way, it varies in total from person to person, day to day and depending on where the inventors is in the process of innovation. They need motivation, finance, someone who listens, contacts, knowledge, etc. Each unique concept is based on a unique human being and the need is to meet and get the support that it needs where it is right now, not someone else deciding what it needed!

Innovation is not something that only fully occurs for new ideas and new technology, but it also needsto  add already known knowledge as manufacturing methods, materials, patent and entrepreneurial support etc to bring an innovation to the market.

Knowledge will support the development of new previously unknown knowledge, not limit it!

Speaking of nailed perceptions, we constantly hear from politicians and officials about the demands for collaboration to get support in an govermentalt innovation system.

Certainly, cooperation is good, but the word interacts itself since it contains many individual approach to what is the interaction or not! There are, as usual, the advantages and disadvantages of cooperation and we need to be aware of these before nailing demands, because the risk is that the negative effects will hamper and hinder innovation.

The risk of interaction requirement is that they risk creating forces, desires, interests and conflicts that in different ways can make an innovation process to stop or go “wrong.” There are several examples of where ongoing innovations slowed down and, above all, when there are significant economic benefits and international success in sight, led people to act irrationally and arbitrarily for own profits.

In terms of collaboration, it feels simple to compare with a management team of a company, where there is CEO who decides andwhere you can also can compare to an collaboration on an innovation process, where the inventor decides and the other team support.

When we are working with development of ideas and inventions, we only know one thing … that we never know in advance when, how and where an idea arises or will develop!

Read a really good article on the BBC describing the significance of the failure to develop an idea.

The author describes a ceramics teacher divided the class into two groups, one that would make as many pots as possible (quantity) and where the design would be considered afterwards, and one group that would do the best designed pot (quality) they could.

The result is emperical, it was the group that produced the most pots that created the best designs while the other group got stuck in how they best would design the pot before they started. This symptom describes very much why goverment innovation system fails in supporting genuine creativity.

The article also describes the British inventor James Dyson who produced 5 126 prototypes of he´s new dubbelcyklon vaccum cleaner, which today is a billion dollar industry. This would have been impossible in a govermental innovation system which do not allow that amount of “failures”.
